Mr. Weimer has been involved with operating and securing financing for start-up and early stage companies for more than 17 years and has had a key management role with most of these companies, including operational roles with several of Chester Aldridge's companies since 1998.
With extensive experience in contract negotiation and partner relations, Mr Weimer has been instrumental in securing contracts with well known entertainment and media companies such as Disney, MTV, Atari, Sony Online, Ubisoft and Vivendi Universal.
Mr. Weimer has also worked with several professional sports organizations (from the NHL, MLB, NFL) as a management consultant providing assistance in structuring corporate marketing and sponsorship opportunities.
Additionally, he has successfully negotiated and secured grants from both the National Research Council Canada and Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada.
More recently, Mr. Weimer has played a key role in negotiating the financing and structuring of several start-up green tech and green energy initiatives and was instrumental in securing the agreements for Equity Solar and Equity Micro Tech. He was also instrumental in successfully negotiating the TechBridge™ Funding Program with the Fraunhofer's Center for Sustainable Energy (CSE). The TechBridge™ Program was established by the Fraunhofer Center for Sustainable Energy Systems (Fraunhofer CSE) to support the development of innovative clean energy technology companies. Fraunhofer CSE, based in Cambridge, Mass., also works in close cooperation with scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), with the new CSE center located in the immediate vicinity of the MIT campus.
